Jacqui is a compassionate and dedicated psychologist who works with adults and adolescents. Clients are assisted to identify and tap into their own unique strengths, while also learning new skills to improve wellbeing, resilience and relationships. Jacqui has a diverse background working with children, adolescents and adults in clinical settings and in mentoring roles within education, business and life situations. Jacqui brings life experience and extensive and ongoing education to her client consultation sessions. A mix of evidence-based treatments and assessments are used to assist clients with difficulties and distress associated with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, chronic health issues and relationship and friendship challenges. Jacqui is collaborative and empathetic in her work with her clients; she is passionate about tailoring treatment to match client needs and bringing compassion and self-compassion teachings into her client sessions.

Jacqui is specially interested in the following presentations: Anxiety Disorders; including Social Anxiety, OCD, Generalised Anxiety, and Phobias. Depression,  Adolescent and Adult Autism Spectrum Condition, Trauma & PTSD, Coping with Chronic Medical and Health Issues, Relationship difficulties and communication, Emotion Dysregulation, Grief and Loss and Positive Psychology.

Jacqui’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science, and Bachelor of Social Science with Honours in Psychology, and registration with AHPRA as Registered Psychologist. The therapeutic approaches used include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), CBT based Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Compassion Focussed Therapy, Positive Psychology and Mindfulness-based therapies.

Jacqui was born in Australia; she grew up and lived and worked in Sydney for several years, until moving to the Central Coast in 1995. She loves to travel, explore new places and meet new people. Spending time with her family is an important and valued aspect of her life. Her hobbies include walking, enjoying the company of her dogs, spending time in nature, meeting with friends, reading, gardening, and creative outlets such photography and paper crafts.

Jacqui is available for appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  When she is not working, Jacqui loves travelling, and exploring nature sometimes with her camera alongside. She often walks along the beach and in the bush with her two dogs, Ziggy and Pippi.  Jacqui also loves to spend time with her family and friends, seeing movies, live shows and eating at all different kinds of restaurants, exploring new taste sensations.
