Dr Cynthia Dewar

Registered Psychologist

Dr Cynthia Dewar is registered as a psychologist with AHPRA. She finished her degree in psychology in Berlin in 2007 and worked at the Medical University of Berlin where she went on to complete her doctorate in 2020.

Cynthia sees adults who present with a large variety of symptoms such as trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, attachment trauma, OCD, work stress and relationship difficulties and grief and loss. She believes that every person is unique and therefore deserves a unique psychotherapeutic approach. Depending on the symptoms she uses an attachment-informed therapeutic approach with emphasis on parts work, EMDR and/or mindfulness-based CBT.

Cynthia is a facilitator for the Circle of Security Parenting program and offers the program to both individuals and couples at Living Well Psychology Clinic.

In her spare time Cynthia loves to spend time with her son at the local beaches and skate parks. Her favourite time of the year is winter, as she loves snow and colder weather. She is also a passionate ski instructor and is always planning her next trip to the snow!

Cynthia Dewar is available both in person and via telehealth on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
