Ever blown your fuse at your child or partner ? Don’t worry we have all been there ! In psychology there’s a lovely way of seeing restoration in relationships called rupture and repair. The idea is that whilst ruptures are awful and need apologies, repairs are pretty powerful. Repairs involve you acknowledging what you did wrong (and possibly why) and then asking for forgiveness and to be able to start again / reset. This week is men’s (and boys) health week. As part of this focus it’s invaluable to do a check in on the mental health of the men and boys in your circle of influence .... statistically men are still less likely to share this part of their world and often suffer mental health challenges in silence.
